A driver with Abia City Transport was reportedly arrested after a fatal crash in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State. Witness accounts allege that the driver had argued with a front-seat passenger while travelling from Onitsha to Lagos. He allegedly threatened the passenger before deliberately steering the bus into a parked trailer on the side where the passenger was seated. The passenger reportedly died at the scene, while other occupants sustained injuries. The driver was said to have fled but was later traced and arrested in Mbaise, Imo State. The allegations have not been independently verified.
