2026 Post-UTME & Screening Guide: Deadlines, Fees & Expert Tips
As JAMB results are released and the change-of-course window opens, schools will soon publish Post-UTME and screening forms. Many candidates miss out because they don’t know the key dates, fees, or requirements. Forms run from early July through September 2026. Federal universities usually start in mid-July, while state institutions and polytechnics set their own schedules. Fees range from ₦2,000–₦5,000 for universities and ₦1,500–₦3,500 for polytechnics/colleges of education. Always pay via the official school portal or Remita. There are two main screening types: a CBT exam covering English, Maths, current affairs and course-specific subjects, or a grading-only system based on JAMB and O’Level results plus catchment points. No exam is required for grading-only screens. You’ll need your JAMB slip, O’Level result, birth certificate, state of origin, and a passport photo. Use past questions to spot recurring patterns. Remember, Post-UTME often counts for 40–50% of your final score. Register early and avoid last-minute rush. Ask your questions below.
