An early morning fire gutted the second floor electronics section of a popular supermarket near Jimoh Bus Stop in Egbeda-Akowonjo, Lagos State. Firefighters from the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service arrived swiftly and contained the blaze before it spread to adjoining areas. The operation focused on safeguarding lives, property and the environment. Officials suspect the fire began in a solar inverter system used as an alternative power source. No casualties were reported and recovery efforts are ongoing.
