Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle has launched a scouting mission across the Nigeria Premier Football League to uncover fresh talent for the national team. He attended Shooting Stars’ 3–2 win over Nasarawa United at the Lekan Salami Stadium, where he was warmly received by club chairman Taiwo Salami, COO Bunmi Fadayomi and head coach Nurudeen Aweroro. Chelle plans to follow NPFL fixtures closely for the rest of the season, offering local players a chance to impress ahead of international assignments. This exercise is part of preparations for the Unity Cup 2026 in England, featuring Nigeria, Jamaica, Zimbabwe and India, with semi-finals kicking off on May 26.
