Wike Faction Reclaims PDP National Secretariat in Abuja, Warns Against Disruption
A group loyal to Nyesom Wike has taken control of the Peoples Democratic Party’s national secretariat in Abuja after the police unsealed Wadata Plaza and Legacy House under court orders. The faction named Abdulrahman Mohammed Takushara as National Chairman and Samuel Anyanwu as National Secretary. It praised the police for their professionalism and warned members against any act that could breach the peace. The move follows a Court of Appeal judgment on March 9 that nullified the Ibadan convention organized by the rival Makinde-led faction. Analysts say this takeover may alter the PDP’s internal power balance ahead of upcoming elections.
