Lagos Fire Service Frees Man Trapped in Faulty Elevator Uninjured

The Lagos State Fire Service rescued an adult male who became stuck in a malfunctioning elevator in a three-storey building on Freeman Street, Zapass, Lagos Island East LCDA. A distress call came in at around 11:50 a.m. on Tuesday, July 21. A team from the Ebute Elefun Fire Station arrived within five minutes and immediately began rescue operations. Firefighters safely freed the occupant without any injuries. Preliminary findings indicate that an accidental mechanical fault caused the elevator to stall, and no casualties were recorded during the incident.
