Senator Solomon Adeola Officially Joins Ogun Governorship Race for 2027

Senator Solomon Adeola of Ogun West has formally signalled his intention to contest the 2027 governorship election after purchasing his APC Expression of Interest and Nomination forms. He procured the forms, which cost N50 million, from the party’s national secretariat in Abuja. The APC National Organising Secretary, Suleiman Argungu, handed them over to Adeola’s representative. This move intensifies political activities ahead of the 2027 elections. The Independent National Electoral Commission has set presidential and National Assembly polls for January 16, 2027, and governorship and State Assembly elections for February 6, 2027. INEC has scheduled party primaries between April 23 and May 30, 2026. Campaigns for national contests commence on August 19, 2026, while those for state elections kick off on September 9, 2026.

Isn't it a bit premature to judge his commitment by the form price tag rather than his performance in office?

Voters should track Adeola's achievements in Ogun West before the primaries, then weigh his governance record against other contenders.
