Uhuala Development Association Lagos Inaugurates First Annual Congress

The Uhuala Development Association Lagos State held its inaugural annual congress on Saturday, June 21, 2026 in Ijesha, Lagos. The gathering united sons and daughters of Uhuala from Etiti Okabia, Orsu LGA of Imo State living in Lagos. Chief Ben Obi, Chairman, delivered a welcome address and highlighted the association’s mission to connect members, preserve cultural values, and support each other through life’s challenges. He also outlined the executive’s first-year achievements, including CAC registration, a refreshed constitution, a new logo, and the formation of a Board of Trustees. The congress featured inauguration ceremonies for trustees and women’s wing executives, cultural dance performances, masquerade displays, health presentations, and certificate awards. Looking ahead, plans include renovating the village hall, launching educational grants, providing health insurance, and strengthening ties with the mother union in Etiti Okabia.
