Jegede-Idakwo and Omodiaghe Named Flamingos U-17 Assistant Coaches
The Nigeria Football Federation has appointed former Super Falcons captain Joy Jegede-Idakwo and ex-Flamingos star Aighewi Omodiaghe as assistant coaches for the U-17 women’s side. Another former international, Kola Ige, joins the team as goalkeepers’ trainer. They will work under head coach Akeem Ishola Busari. The trio will help the Flamingos pursue qualification for this year’s FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco and aim to improve on the Class of 2022’s third-place finish.
