Anambra’s Top Schools to Receive Library Grants at AMTY Awards
Mater Amabilis Secondary School, Umuoji, and St John Vianney Science College, Ukwulu, will be honoured as Best Public and Best Private Schools at the fifth edition of the Anambra Man of the Year Awards in Awka. Each school will receive cash prizes from an Anambra philanthropist to support the equipping of their libraries. The AMTY Awards, organised by the 100 Achievers Organisation, recognise institutions that contribute to Anambra State’s development and positive image. The selection committee highlighted both schools’ strong academic records, leadership in education and consistent achievements in national and international competitions. Mater Amabilis has built a reputation for excellence in academics, science, debate and sports, winning titles such as the Malaysia International Debate Championship and the WAEC/Vatebra Merit Award. St John Vianney Science College has also excelled, claiming national and international STEM, robotics and entrepreneurship awards, including the Diamond Challenge and the Girls in ICT Competition.
