Guard Your Heart: Win Souls, Not Arguments

Proverbs 4:23-25 calls us to guard our hearts, speak uprightly, and keep our gaze fixed on truth. 2 Timothy 2:15-16 warns us to handle God’s Word correctly and avoid idle talk that leads to ungodliness. We are called to preach by the Spirit, not argue in the flesh. As a new believer I was so passionate about winning souls that I argued Scriptures in the flesh. I was led into confusion, backslid, and even spread error. If you find yourself arguing more than preaching, pause for prayer and study. Yield to the Holy Spirit. Our mission is to win hearts for Christ, not debates, and live by grace until the end.
