In a message marking World Breastfeeding Week 2026, observed from August 1 to 7, she supported the theme, “Breastfeeding for a Sustainable Start in Life: Strengthen What Works.” She said breastfeeding gives babies a strong start and remains an investment in healthier families and the nation’s future. She also encouraged breastfeeding mothers to eat nutritious meals and maintain healthy lifestyles, noting that maternal nutrition benefits both mother and child. Families were urged to support mothers as they give babies the best possible start in life.
