Lagos State Launches Ebola Awareness Drive in Three LGAs
Lagos State Government has stepped up its public health response by launching an Ebola awareness campaign in Eti-Osa, Ibeju-Lekki and Epe. In a recent statement, the Permanent Secretary of Health District III urged residents to remain vigilant. She explained that Ebola Virus Disease can cause severe illness and death if not detected and treated early. The campaign highlights how the virus spreads through contact with infected bodily fluids. Residents are advised to avoid contact with sick individuals or wild animals like bats and monkeys. They should practice good hygiene, use hand sanitisers, and report any suspected cases to health authorities immediately.
