Bandits Kill Guard, Abduct Family Members in Attack on Kaura Namoda Polytechnic Rector’s Residence

The family residence of Federal Polytechnic Kaura Namoda Rector, Dr. Aminu Yusuf Kaura, was attacked by bandits in Tsohuwar Tasha on the night of 27 July 2026. A guard, Mal. Isah, was killed during the attack. The wife and daughter of Mal. Ibrahim Datti, alongside other family members, were reportedly abducted. The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Polytechnics has expressed sympathy with the affected families and called on security agencies to secure the release of those abducted. The association also urged stronger action against insecurity in Kaura Namoda and Zamfara State.
