Rangers Need Two Strikers for NPFL Title Defence and CAF Champions League — Ilechukwu

Rangers International coach Fidelis Ilechukwu says the reigning NPFL champions need to sign two more strikers before the new season begins. Speaking after Rangers’ 1-0 pre-season win over Warri Wolves in Asaba, Ilechukwu said the club is still assessing several new players and is not yet fully prepared for its title defence. Rangers will also represent Nigeria in the 2026/27 CAF Champions League alongside Rivers United. Ilechukwu said the team’s first continental target is to break its recent preliminary-round setbacks and reach the group stage.
