AE-FUNAI VC Orders Immediate Promotion for Qualified Junior Staff After NASU Visit
Prof. Daniel C. Nwachukwu, Vice-Chancellor of Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike, has ordered the immediate promotion of all qualified junior staff who were omitted from the last upgrade exercise. He issued this directive during a familiarization visit by the university’s NASU executives. Branch Chairman Comrade Chibuike Igwe reaffirmed the Non-Academic Staff Union’s commitment to industrial peace and institutional progress. He highlighted that several non-academic staff had earned additional qualifications but were left out of the previous promotion exercise and called for a thorough review. In response, the VC commended the union’s constructive approach and assured the delegation that the Registrar would implement the promotions without delay. He emphasized that staff welfare and professional growth remain a top priority for his administration. Both parties ended the meeting on a positive note, expressing optimism about a collaborative partnership that will support the university’s development goals.
