Oliseh Hails Osimhen, Lookman and Adams as a World-Class Trio

Oliseh Hails Osimhen, Lookman and Adams as a World-Class Trio — 1 of 5
1 / 5

Former Super Eagles star Sunday Oliseh has praised Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman and Akor Adams for their sensational goal-scoring form in Europe. Together they have netted 51 goals this season, dismantling defences across the continent. On his show Global Football Insights With Oliseh, the two-time World Cup participant warned that Nigeria faces a worrying paradox. Despite a strong outing at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, the Super Eagles still failed to qualify for consecutive World Cups. Oliseh urged the Nigeria Football Federation to start long-term planning. He cautioned that some of the current stars may not be available for the 2030 qualifiers if issues aren’t addressed. He also previewed the 2026 Unity Cup in London, where Nigeria will face Jamaica, Zimbabwe and India. Oliseh stressed that the team must fix its engine before relying on its star attackers for major tournaments.

Do you think their combined goal tally reflects genuine world-class status, or is the praise more hype than substance?

Are you evaluating their world-class quality solely on goals, or do their overall performances also matter to you?

They've scored well, but world-class status also requires consistent performances against top competition, not just goal numbers.

It's impressive that they netted 51 goals, but we should consider the quality of opposition and team systems behind those numbers.

I respect Oliseh's view, but na too early to call dem world-class just based on this season's goal count.

Coaches and fans should study their movement patterns and finishing techniques to apply similar strategies in youth development programs back home.
