Nutrition International Hiring Safety and Security Officer in Abuja

Nutrition International is recruiting a Safety and Security Officer for a two-year, full-time role based in Abuja. The position is open to Nigerian nationals and is subject to project funding being secured. The officer will support health programmes across Kebbi, Sokoto, Jigawa, Kano and Katsina. Key duties include security risk analysis, movement planning, incident response, security briefings, contingency planning and coordination with relevant stakeholders. Applicants need a relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, at least five years of security or operational-support experience in fragile or conflict-affected settings, and strong knowledge of security dynamics in northern Nigeria. Hausa or other local-language skills are an advantage. Applications close on 21 August 2026 and will be reviewed as they are received. The role includes market-based pay, health benefits, pension, flexible working arrangements and learning opportunities.
