Kwankwaso Pledges to Back Obi or Any NDC 2027 Candidate

Former presidential candidate Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso says he’s ready to support Peter Obi or any nominee the NDC chooses for the 2027 presidential election. He insists the party’s zoning decision must remain final. Speaking on Arise TV’s PrimeTime, he confirmed the NDC will zone its 2027 ticket to Southern Nigeria for one four-year term before power returns to the North. He also revealed talks with Peter Obi on tackling insecurity and hinted at a possible collaboration with Atiku Abubakar. Kwankwaso argued that young Nigerians will drive the next contest and praised the shared ideals of the Kwankwasiyya and Obidient movements. He also criticized governors relying on President Tinubu for their political survival.
