NBA Election Concludes: Ejiofor Calls for Unity as Mrs. Badejo-Okunsanya Takes Office

Sir Ifeanyi Ejiofor has congratulated Mrs. Oyinkansola Badejo-Okunsanya, SAN, on her election as the 33rd President of the Nigerian Bar Association. He urged members to move beyond post-election rancour and rebuild the profession. Ejiofor acknowledged that debates and critiques are part of any contest but said it is time to accept the outcome, sheath swords, and allow the new administration to assume its responsibilities. He encouraged the President-elect to extend fellowship to fellow contenders and called on the Bar to unite in tackling challenges like the economic viability of legal practice, the welfare of young lawyers, access to justice, and restoring public confidence in the justice system.
