Are We Focusing on Real Progress in Ogun State?
Citizens must hold leaders accountable. But are we asking fair questions or just the easy ones? The way we phrase a question can steer us to a conclusion. Take infrastructure. Yes, some roads remain rough. But since 2019, major routes have seen new construction, repairs and expansions. That gradual work shows movement, not instant perfection. Unemployment is a national challenge. A better question is whether Ogun is creating a business-friendly environment. Its status as a top industrial hub suggests a system is supporting growth and jobs. Education, healthcare and rural inclusion also matter. Schools across urban and rural areas have been renovated. Rather than asking if rural communities are left behind, we should ask whether they’re being included. Every question grounded in doubt implies total failure. Governance isn’t measured by perfection but by progress. So the real question is: Are we moving forward?
