Anambra SWAN to Hold Maiden Sports Week for Journalists in Awka

The Anambra chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) has urged media professionals to take part in sports to improve their physical and mental wellbeing. Its maiden Sports Week, themed “Sports for Peace and Economic Empowerment,” will hold on August 20 and 21 at a sports arena in Awka. Activities will include table tennis, ludo, draught and five-a-side football. The association says the event will give journalists and other participants time to relax, stay active and build stronger relationships after months of covering and celebrating others’ achievements.
