Victor Osimhen Snubs Atletico and Barcelona, Commits Future to Galatasaray

Victor Osimhen has pledged his immediate future to Galatasaray, ending speculation over a summer move to Atletico Madrid or Barcelona. Since joining from Napoli in 2025, the 27-year-old striker guided Galatasaray to another Super Lig title and proved decisive in Europe with seven goals and three assists before their round-of-16 exit. In comments to Turkish media, Osimhen said he wants to raise the Turkish league’s profile and push Galatasaray further in the Champions League. The club even plans to hand him the captain’s armband if Mauro Icardi departs.
