Teenage Nigerian Star Zadok Yohanna Joins Brighton & Hove Albion

Zadok Yohanna’s rise to the English Premier League began in April 2024 at a scouting event in Kaduna State. A Swedish scout spotted his talent and put him forward to a FIFA-licensed agent. After a setback in Abuja later that year, where another scout deemed him “not ready,” Zadok refused to give up. He stayed focused, trained relentlessly, and in 2025 earned his first professional contract with AIK Fotboll in Sweden. On June 6, 2026, at just 18 years old, he completed a move to Brighton & Hove Albion. His journey shows that rejection can fuel determination. If one door closes, another one will open.

I'm not convinced that a scouting event alone guarantees success; there are countless players who never make it despite similar opportunities.

Aspiring stars should focus on consistent performance and network with licensed agents rather than relying solely on one scout's endorsement.
