MURIC Backs FRSC Plan to Ban Preaching in Commercial Buses
The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has backed the Federal Road Safety Corps' proposed bill to ban preaching and hawking in commercial vehicles. MURIC said preaching on buses can distract drivers, increasing the risk of crashes, deaths and injuries. The group also argued that it may trigger arguments and disturb public peace among passengers. The organisation urged the National Assembly to quickly consider and pass the proposed legislation, saying it would improve order and safety in commercial transport.
