DIG Fayoade Urges Residents to Share Intelligence for Stronger Community Policing in Ogun
The Deputy Inspector-General of Police for the South-West and ICT, Mustapha Fayoade, visited Ogun State on the directive of the Inspector-General. He met traditional rulers, community leaders and security agencies in Abeokuta to discuss ways to boost security. He described security as a shared responsibility and called on residents to provide timely, credible information. He also directed officers to sustain regular community engagement to deepen grassroots policing and build public confidence in the Force. Fayoade later commended the Ogun State Police Command’s dedication to discipline, professionalism and zero tolerance for corruption. During courtesy visits to the state government, the Alake of Egbaland and the Police College of Information and Technology, he emphasized the need for collaboration and continuous innovation in support of a technology-driven policing agenda.
