YouTube Bans Pro-Iran LEGO-Style AI Channel Lampooning Trump
On March 27, YouTube removed a channel operated by Explosive Media for breaches of its spam, deceptive practices and scams policies. The group, suspected of links to Iran, had built a following with viral AI-generated LEGO-style animations mocking former President Donald Trump. In protest, Explosive Media took to X to question whether its satirical clips could be deemed violent. Despite the suspension, it still shares content on X and Telegram, while Instagram accounts face restrictions but keep resurfacing. Observers say these stylised animations represent a new form of information warfare, dubbed the “Legofication” of propaganda. The English-language focus and use of blocked platforms in Iran raise fresh questions about how such content is produced and distributed.
