Cooking Gas Prices Surge Nationwide Except in South-East, NBS Reports

New data from the National Bureau of Statistics shows that between April 2025 and April 2026, the price of a 12.5kg cooking gas cylinder rose in almost every region. Only the South-East bucked the trend with a 2.17% decline. The South-East price dropped from ₦21,528 to ₦21,060. Other zones saw increases: South-South (+4.19%), North-West (+10.38%), South-West (+11.16%), North-East (+17.82%) and North-Central (+18.29%).
