Stanley Nwabali Eyes Summer Transfer as Offers Pile Up, Says Etafia

Stanley Nwabali Eyes Summer Transfer as Offers Pile Up, Says Etafia

Former Super Eagles goalkeeper Greg Etafia has revealed that Stanley Nwabali will secure a move this summer. Nwabali left South Africa’s Chippa United in February after mutually terminating his contract and remains a free agent. Etafia told Brila that Nwabali received several offers during the AFCON tournament but could not finalize a deal in time. He explained that the goalkeeper felt he needed regular playing time, especially with Dumisani Msibi performing well in his absence. Despite missing recent friendlies against Iran and Jordan due to club inactivity, Etafia believes Nwabali still has much to offer the national team. He noted that the 29-year-old has stayed fit and is now waiting for the right opportunity once the season ends.

It's odd that he left Chippa United midseason if so many offers were actually waiting for him.

Not every free agent makes a smooth transfer; hype doesn't always match opportunity for goalkeepers.

He should consider training stints with clubs or agents to stay match-ready until that offer finally comes.
