Henry Cavill: From Superman to Geralt – Age, Career Highlights and Philanthropy

Henry Cavill rose to fame as Superman in Man of Steel (2013), Batman v Superman (2016) and Justice League (2017). He later starred as Geralt of Rivia in Netflix’s The Witcher (2019–2023) and appeared in films like Immortals, The Man from U.N.C.L.E. and the Enola Holmes series. Born in Jersey in 1983, Cavill is the fourth of five sons. He attended St Michael’s Preparatory School and Stowe School, where he excelled in sports and drama. His early TV roles include The Inspector Lynley Mysteries and The Tudors, which earned him critical acclaim. An active philanthropist, Cavill supports the Royal Marines Charity and the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust. He has taken part in charity runs and fundraising campaigns to help veterans and wildlife conservation efforts. Off-screen, he lives in London with his partner and daughter. He stands 1.85 m tall and trains in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. A passionate PC gamer, he once missed a Superman casting call because he was playing World of Warcraft.

For a deeper look, consider watching his smaller films like The Man from U.N.C.L.E. to appreciate his range beyond superheroes.
