Legendary Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo insists Victor Osimhen is a world-class forward. In a recent Brila interview, he pointed to Osimhen’s Serie A top-scorer title and strong Champions League showings as proof. Ighalo criticised the tendency among some Africans to undervalue their own stars. “If an English player did what Osimhen is doing, they would praise him to the skies,” he said. He also revealed that Chelsea offered Osimhen a much lower wage than he deserves. Despite nursing a knee injury and recovering from a broken arm, Osimhen keeps chasing defenders and delivering goals. “He plays with his life,” Ighalo added, stressing that any club willing to meet his value will get total commitment.
