Grants up to $50K for Community-Led Landscape Restoration Projects
Local NGOs, farmer groups and community organizations in selected African countries can now apply for the Direct Beneficiary Grants AFR100 2026. Administered by FAO with support from the German Government, the programme awards between USD 5,000 and USD 50,000 to projects that restore degraded land, boost biodiversity and strengthen climate resilience. Eligible activities include tree planting and reforestation, agroforestry systems, soil and water conservation, community nurseries, biodiversity protection and restoration-based livelihood enterprises. Projects should deliver measurable environmental improvements alongside sustainable income opportunities for local communities. Community-based organizations, conservation groups, farmer associations and similar local stakeholders with proven restoration experience are encouraged to apply. Applicants should review the official guidelines, prepare a clear proposal with defined outcomes, gather necessary documents and submit before the deadline. Applications open 22 May 2026 and close 19 June 2026 at 11:59 PM GMT. For more information, contact the AFR100 programme team.
