How Vector and Akin Faminu Stole the Menswear Show at Ojude Oba 2026
We often see the best women’s looks at Ojude Oba, but this year two gentlemen deserve a second glance. Rapper Vector and fashion creator Akin Faminu brought regal style to the Ijebu-Ode festival. Akin Faminu wore a custom multi-toned Aso-Oke in wine, gold, and green stripes. He draped a royal blue fringed sash and a black cloak lined in magenta silk. His look was finished with a tall blue fila, traditional beads, a gold medallion, and Yoruba symbols of prestige—a carved staff and a white horse-tail whisk. Vector chose a sleeveless agbada in beige, brown, and black woven fabric with a bold geometric panel outlined in frayed white fabric. Heavy black fringes added texture, paired with a white buba underneath. A matching fila with a feather plume and coral beads completed his striking ensemble.
