Enyimba’s Ezekiel Edidiong Vows to Outshine Former Club Remo Stars

Enyimba’s Ezekiel Edidiong Vows to Outshine Former Club Remo Stars

Enyimba striker Ezekiel Edidiong is gearing up for Sunday’s NPFL matchday 36 showdown with his former side, Remo Stars. Both teams sit on 43 points as they battle to avoid relegation, with Enyimba in 13th and Remo Stars in 16th. Edidiong, who joined Enyimba from Remo Stars at the start of the season, admitted mixed emotions. “I have beautiful memory of my time at Remo Stars and I am looking forward to playing against them this weekend,” he said. “I feel a bit emotional regarding the memories I had with them but right now the pride of the People’s Elephant is my priority.” He urged Enyimba fans to pack the stands and back the team. “I want to call on the esteemed fans of Enyimba to turn up in their numbers and support us as we go for a non-negotiable three points against Remo Stars,” he added.

It's odd that both teams are tied on 43 points yet Enyimba sits above despite that swap.

I doubt a single player can turn Enyimba's season around just by chasing personal glory.

Enyimba should focus on solid defense and midfield cohesion if they want to keep Remo Stars at bay on Sunday.
