God’s silence and patience can mask our hidden sins. He may allow wrongdoing to continue for a time, but that mercy is not endless. In His wisdom, God lets the evildoer feel secure. Yet He watches silently as judgment draws nearer. Remember the warning: vengeance belongs to the Lord. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God (Romans 12:19; Hebrews 10:31).
