Jamaica coach Rudolph Speid has handed a first-ever national team call-up to 18-year-old left-back Dante Plunkett ahead of Saturday’s Unity Cup final against Nigeria’s Super Eagles. Plunkett joined Manchester United in 2024 following a successful trial and made 15 appearances for their U-18 side last season. He previously featured in Aston Villa’s youth ranks before moving to Old Trafford. Speid’s Reggae Boyz will be looking for revenge after losing to Nigeria on penalties in last year’s final. Jamaica booked their spot with a 2-0 win over India, while the Super Eagles beat Zimbabwe by the same score to set up a repeat showdown.
