FRSC Mobilises 1,889 Officers to Manage Eid Traffic in Kano State
The Federal Road Safety Corps has deployed 1,889 personnel across Kano State from May 25 to 31 to ease traffic and reduce crashes during Eid-el-Kabir. Regular marshals and special marshals will patrol 24 hours in all 44 local government areas. The deployment includes four ambulances, a heavy-duty tow truck, 24 patrol vehicles, two motorcycles, radar guns and breathalysers at key locations for rapid response. Mobile courts will prosecute traffic offenders on the spot, while emergency rescue teams remain on high alert. Motorists are urged to avoid speeding, dangerous overtaking, overloading and other unsafe practices. The public can report crashes or obstructions via the FRSC toll-free number 122.
