Kano Police Arrest Three Suspects, Recover Two Stolen Cars and Tricycle
Operatives of the Kano State Police Command have arrested three suspects and recovered two stolen vehicles and a tricycle in separate intelligence-led operations over the past two weeks. The recovered exhibits, valued at millions of naira, have been handed back to their rightful owners. On May 3, officers from the Tarauni Area Command traced a stolen Pontiac Vibe valued at ₦12 million through community tips and returned it to its owner. Earlier, on April 23, a Toyota Corolla reported stolen in Abuja was recovered at Darmanawa Layout in Kano. A CNG-powered tricycle, taken after its rider was poisoned in Kaduna State, was retrieved along Ring Road and three occupants were arrested. The Commissioner of Police praised the swift response, professionalism and community support that made these recoveries possible. He urged vehicle owners to install tracking devices, avoid isolated parking and report any suspicious activity promptly as the command continues its fight against car snatching and theft syndicates.
