Kano Police Decorate 956 Newly Promoted Officers, Emphasise Integrity
The Commissioner of Police in Kano State, Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, has formally decorated 956 officers with their new ranks at the Bompai Police Headquarters. He relayed congratulations from the Inspector-General of Police and praised the force’s commitment to career progression and morale boosting. CP Bakori urged the newly promoted personnel—drawn from all 11 Area Commands, 78 Divisions and other formations—to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, discipline and integrity on and off duty. He reminded them that their advancement was earned through competence, seniority and merit, and challenged them to rededicate themselves to selfless service for Kano residents and Nigerians at large. Representing the beneficiaries, Saratu Yaru thanked the leadership for the promotions and improved welfare packages under the current IGP. She affirmed that the officers will justify the confidence placed in them by maintaining the rule of law and protecting lives and property.
