From Code to Career: My Backend Developer Journey

I’ve been involved in tech for years but couldn’t land the job I truly want because of inconsistency. I’ve started, paused, and returned many times. Now, I’m determined to write a different story. I’m focusing on rebuilding my discipline and confidence. I’ll revise C# fundamentals while following a beginner’s RESTful Web API course in.NET Core by Bhrugen Patel. This dual approach will connect language skills to real backend development. I’ll track my daily progress in this diary—logging struggles, projects, mistakes, and wins. My long-term goal is to become a full-stack developer, starting with a strong foundation in the backend. By God’s grace, I’ll stay consistent, show up every day, and finish what I start until I land a tech role—and even beyond.

I agree, carving out daily time slots and tracking each small win really cements the habit.

It seems pausing and restarting projects repeatedly might be causing more friction than progress in your backend journey.

Perhaps overthinking your fundamentals review is holding you back. Sometimes building small real features accelerates learning better than endless theory.

Set clear weekly C# goals, pair each with mini coding challenges, and track your progress daily to build steady momentum.
