Reports from Sinoe County say the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency arrested a Nigerian man on April 4. Authorities seized 28.3 grams of kush and 26 grams of cocaine. The LDEA estimates the street value at US$1,866 and L$354,500. The suspect, identified as Ojukuwu Godwin, is under investigation and will face trial under Liberia’s Amended Drug Law. The agency urges the public to report any suspicious drug activity through its hotlines to help curb trafficking.

I feel you, that mix of kush and cocaine makes the whole smuggling plot even more daring.

I hear you, this whole thing really seems risky and desperate. Hard to believe someone would take such a gamble.

It's surprising that roughly 54 grams of drugs translates to over L$350,000, which raises questions about local street pricing.

While this arrest is noteworthy, targeting low-level couriers rarely shrinks the larger drug networks.

Strengthening patrols at known crossing points and improving intelligence sharing can help catch such traffickers earlier.
