DJAN Refutes Rumours of Burna Boy Music Ban After DJ Tunez Clash

DJAN Refutes Rumours of Burna Boy Music Ban After DJ Tunez Clash

The Deejays Association of Nigeria (DJAN) has denied banning Burna Boy’s songs following his altercation with DJ Tunez. In a statement, National President Prince Akim Edeh called the rumours “false and misleading” and clarified that no sanction was imposed. Edeh emphasised DJAN’s dedication to a peaceful, collaborative music industry. He noted that DJ Tunez is not registered with the association and confirmed that investigations are ongoing. DJAN urged the public to stay calm and allow authorities to handle the matter, stressing that no ban affects Burna Boy or any other artist’s music.

Do you think DJAN's clarification will finally put these rumours to rest, or will fans keep doubting their statement?

I'm not convinced this official denial changes much. Many fans will still suspect there were behind-the-scenes warnings or other informal measures.

To avoid more confusion, DJAN could release a full incident report and outline their policy on artist disputes so everyone sees clear guidelines.
