AE-FUNAI Women’s Association and Law Faculty Launch Campus-Wide Tree-Planting Drive
Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike’s Women Association and Faculty of Law led a major tree-planting exercise to advance the campus Green Initiative. Over 40 seedlings — including royal palm, queen palm, Philippine palm, araucaria and golden pandanus — were placed at strategic spots from the main gate to the Senate Building. The campaign aims to beautify the university and help combat climate change. The Faculty of Law dean emphasized that planting is only the start, urging everyone to nurture the trees as a shared legacy. The University Green Initiative director called on all departments to take ownership of the campus ecosystem for a healthier, more resilient environment.
