Until That Day: Jesus’ Promise of the Future Banquet
Scripture Text: “But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father’s Kingdom.” (Matthew 26:29) At the Last Supper in Jerusalem, Jesus put down the cup of earth to seal His sacrifice and step into death. He spoke a word that marks our era—a time of waiting between Calvary’s victory and the final celebration. When He raises the cup again, it will be new wine in the Father’s Kingdom. This points to joy, abundance, and the great Messianic Banquet where every redeemed heart will feast together. If your soul is heavy or searching for purpose, this is your invitation. Turn from old burdens and claim your seat at His table by praying: “Lord Jesus, I confess my sins. I believe You died and rose again for me. I receive You as my Lord and Savior. Cleanse and renew me. Amen.”
