Gomani-Dafa-Yangoji Road Opens, Paving Way for Kwali’s Rise as FCT Food Hub
President Bola Tinubu, represented by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, inaugurated the newly completed Gomani-Dafa-Yangoji Road in Kwali Area Council. The new corridor links farms to markets, schools and hospitals, cutting post-harvest losses and reducing travel time for buyers and farmers alike. Under the Renewed Hope Agenda, the government aims to ensure development beyond Abuja’s city centre. Tinubu emphasized that improved rural roads keep families together and share national wealth fairly, so residents can build their lives at home. FCT Minister Nyesom Wike noted that the project arose from a community engagement led by the traditional ruler of Kwali. The inaugurations mark the third of four segments in the 43.4-kilometre secondary regional road, connecting the Abuja-Lokoja Expressway through Pai, Gomani, Dafa and Yangoji.
