Caretaker Caught Extorting Tenants for ₦375k Instead of ₦150k

A landlord discovered his caretaker was charging tenants three times the agreed annual rent. Although the official fee is ₦150,000 for a one-room apartment, tenants were asked to pay ₦375,000 without the landlord’s knowledge. The caretaker allegedly pocketed the extra ₦225,000 per tenant. The landlord has confronted him and urged affected tenants to demand refunds.
