US Mission Issues Warning to Nigerian B1/B2 Visa Holders

US Mission Issues Warning to Nigerian B1/B2 Visa Holders

The US Mission in Nigeria has reminded holders of the B1/B2 visitor visa to use the document only for its intended purposes. It urged travellers to limit trips to business meetings, tourism and family visits. The mission cautioned that using the visa outside its approved range could lead to long-term travel restrictions. Improper use may result in permanent ineligibility for future US visas. The B1/B2 visa allows short-term non-immigrant trips for business, tourism or visiting relatives. It does not permit employment or activities beyond these conditions.

Always carry meeting invitations or hotel bookings to show proof of your visa's intended purpose during entry inspections.
