Lobi Stars Appoint Bala Nikyu as Technical Adviser Ahead of NNL Push

Lobi Stars have brought in experienced coach Bala Nikyu as their new technical adviser ahead of the 2026/27 Nigeria National League season. Nikyu joins the Makurdi club after they narrowly missed out on promotion last term. He boasts a rich coaching résumé with spells at Wikki Tourists, Plateau United and Gombe United. The veteran tactician also led Nigeria’s U-17 women’s team, the Flamingos, on the international stage. Lobi Stars are banking on his experience to guide them back to the top flight after relegation at the end of the 2024/25 NPFL campaign.
