Security Analyst Urges Tinubu to Suspend Chief of Staff Over Phantom Agency Allegations

Security Analyst Urges Tinubu to Suspend Chief of Staff Over Phantom Agency Allegations

A security expert has accused President Bola Tinubu of showing bias in the case against his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, after claims of a fictitious presidential agency. Jackson Lekan Ojo warned that the scandal is tarnishing Nigeria’s reputation abroad and recalled how previous ministers faced suspension over similar allegations. He insisted Gbajabiamila should be treated the same while investigations continue. Ojo raised key questions: how an impostor gained office space and budget approval, hosted ambassadors and EFCC officials, and recruited 300 staff. He urged the president to suspend Gbajabiamila and other top officials until a thorough inquiry is completed.

Bias claims are serious, yet it's unclear if evidence against Gbajabiamila substantiates the expert's warnings about Nigeria's image.

Conducting an independent audit of the disputed agency's budget could clarify facts and restore confidence in the administration.
