After two years of anticipation, Davido has announced that his joint album with Chris Brown is slated to drop at the end of 2027. Speaking on Martell’s Swift Conversations after his Coachella 2026 performance, the Afrobeats star said both artists will release solo projects before coming together for the collaborative record. Their partnership stretches back to 2019, kicking off with the smash hit “Blow My Mind.” Since then they’ve teamed up on singles like “Lower Body,” “Shopping Spree,” “Nobody Needs to Know,” “Sensational” and “Hmm.” Before the joint project, Davido plans a new album celebrating his Nigerian roots, while Chris Brown’s next studio album, BROWN, arrives on May 10.
